Sages of the New Covenant
"It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord: I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago — whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows — such a one was caught up to the third heaven. And I know such a man — whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows — how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter."
- 2 Corinthians 12: 1-4
"Of such a one I will boast; yet of myself I will not boast, except in my infirmities. For though I might desire to boast, I will not be a fool; for I will speak the truth. But I refrain, lest anyone should think of me above what he sees me to be or hears from me."
- 2 Corinthians 12: 5 & 6
The flood-lights what you see now at the Grand South Trunk (GST) road connecting St Thomas Mount and Tambaram in Madras is quite recent. In 1995, the road, rights from airport was poorly illuminated. With the liberalization of the Indian economy in 1995, realizing the need to increase the infrastructure like roads, the government had just started the widening the roads. Hence, at GST Road, the left-side of the road between Pallavaram and Tambaram had been cut to six inches depth to lay a new road that was about to come-up soon; in some patches of the road, even gravels were laid.
On 16th May 1995, after long working hours in the office, Swami Sthevananda was returning home, in his motor-cycle, tired and worn out. The time was closer to 00.00 hours. Out of the two bulbs in the head-light of the motor-cycle, one got fused while starting the motor-cycle with the kick.
All happened within the blink of an eye. In the poorly illuminated stretch of the road, near Tambaram Sanatorium, Swamiji noticed a girl with a water-pot running across the road. To avoid a collision, he took a turn to the left, only to get somersaulted with the motorcycle along open-edge of the road that had been cut. He was dragged with the motorcycle in the newly laid gravel, which caused head injury.
The time and the venue is a very much unsupportive for the victims like him to die uncared. But God sent Good Samaritans. Mysteries were abounding in whatever that happened in that night. Could you try finding answers to the following?
Swamiji believes that it is God, who was in control of the situation and had been prompting people to act with compassion, and he is sure that you too would agree with him after reading five of his mystical experiences.
Could you believe? At the Balaji Nursing Home at Guindy, Madras the doctors were busy stitching on Swamiji's deeply-cut forehead to arrest the bleeding, before Mr V K Kakkar, Director of GEC ALSTHOM, (where Swamiji was employed then) could arrange for his admission in Madras Institute of Orthopedics & Traumatalogy (MIOT), which was then functioning at the Vijaya Health Centre, Vadapalani, Madras, India.
Unbelievable! at Balaji Hospital, Swamiji had the Out of Body Experience. His Spiritual body was seeing his physical body from outside at 45 degree angle. On spotting a foreign particle in the wounds, the Spiritual body communicated to the physical body and Swamiji told the doctors: “There are sand particles. Please clean them and then put the stitches.” God must have kept his Soul (which controls the Outer-body) away from his physical body to keep a watch and communicate to his physical body about the details of his physical body.
How would the doctors at the Balaji Hospital know about Swamiji's Out of Body Experience? They must have thought that he must have gone insane and blabbering as a result of the head injury. In addition the medical professionals at the Balaji hospital were aware that he would be shifted to MIOT at the Vijaya Hospital for further trauma care. Hence his repeated request to clean-up his wound did not attract any attention and the medical professionals continued the stitching to stop the bleeding.
Will you believe? On 20th May 1995, at MIOT when the surgeons were removing the stitches, they found iron particles in the wound and removed them. This is possibly what Swamiji had been alerting the doctors about at Balaji Hospital !
The Bible says: “There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.”
– 1 Corinthians 15:44
Swamiji’s experience proves the human beings have two bodies – One is the Physical Body and the other Astral Body.
