Sages of the New Covenant
Born in Villupuram Sw. Gnanayuthamananda spent the major portion of his childhood in his native district of Thirunelveli. After his Master degree in Social Work (specialized in Human Resources Management) from the Bharathidasan University, Thiruchirapalli, he served in few social / business houses, last being the Head of Human Resources Development at ALSTOM, a French multinational company.
The birth of Swami Gnanayuthamananda is a pre-determined one by God. Knowing God's plan, the Collective Evil Mind, which generate destructive energy tried to kill him inside his mother's womb. As a result, on 19th October 1960 the umbulical cord that was supposed to supply oxygen and nurishment itself strangled around his neck. But God sent an angel in the form of Mrs Bentley's on 27th October 1960 and saved the baby, who was born lifeless and had turned blue, due to strangulation. Immediately after his birth, the first visitor to see him was one of the holy-men that period and true servant of God, Rev. & Canon Paul Manickam, who later baptised him Stephen Gnanayutham Ravikumar at St James Church, Villupuram..
Though the Negative forces of the Collective Human Mind were aware of plan of God for Stephen, he had to wait for more than 34 years to come to that awareness, which happened after series of mystical experiences, he underwent after the miraculous survival in a major Road Traffic Accident (with Near Death Experience / Out of Body Experience) on 16th May 1995 and a Vision of God on 19th May 1995.
With a mandate from God (Got through an inner voice on 16th January 2000), he resigned his secular in 2002 and he is involved in full time Mission, preparing people for Vasudevakudumbakkam (Kingdom of God).
He has completed M B A from Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM), Thirucirapalli / M Phil. (Peace Making) from Madurai-Kamaraj University, India and M Th from University of Wales, UK. He holds Three Ph Ds from the Universityies of Madras (India), Colorado Christian University (USA) and from the IO University (Netherlands) on the following faculties: Management, Behavioural Science and Christianity.
He is ordained by The Most Rev. Delmer Robinson, Archbishop of the Anglican Diocese at Seattle, USA on 16th February 2006 at the pro-cathedral at the Jai Mahal Palace, Jaipur, India and took the name as Swami Sthevanananda.
After the disassociation with the The Episcopal Church (TEC of Angilican Communion) on 15th October 2012, The Protestant Episcopal Church (the Diocese of South Carolina) approved the consecration of Sw. Sthevananda and accordingly consecreated the Episopal Bishop for India by The Rt. Rev. Mark J. Lawrence on 6th January 2014 at the Cathedral Church of St. Luke and St. Paul, Charleston, South Carolina with a new name: Swami Gnanayuthamananda.
Sw. Gnanayuthamananda is trans-religious and had some theological differences with Most Rev. Foley Beach, Archbishop of the Anglican Church in North America. After The Protestant Episcopal Church (the Diocese of South Carolina), officially decided to join the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) on 11th March 2017, Sw. Gnanayuthamananda disassociated with them.
"Right from his birth, God placed Sw. Gnanayuthamananda against the Negative Forces. Those who know him very closely would be tempted to equate his life with that of Sadhu Kochu Kunju."
