Thanks to the leading role played by Dr James, retired Principal od Scott's Christian College, Nagercoil, there is Chair on Christianity functioning unofficially, which is being co-ordianted by Dr Stephenson, Professor, Department of Tamil, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University. Dr James has mobilised so far 2,000,000/- INR (approx. 40,000/- US $) and a full-fleged Chiar requires 3,000,000/- INR. We are greatfull to the C.S.I. dioceses of Kanyakumari and Thoothukudi, who have paid 500,000/- INR each and those who have assured to pay towards this endeavour.
We solicite your help by suggesting the TOPICS, with Resource Persons for the Second Seminar of the "Endowed Seminar Chair on Dr. Savarirayan Jesudason, F R C S E — His Contribution to Christian Tamizh Literature and Indian Culture", which will be conducted in 2014.
As the endowment money is only 200,000/- INR, we are able to conduct the seminar only once in two years and like to conduct the seminar annually, which calls for increasing the endowment fund.
Those who are inspired by God to suuport this endeavour, please contact us.
Pray that the C.S.I. Diocese of Thirunelvelli pays its contribution of 500,000/- INR. at the earliest
